All flowers by name
Each exhibit in the two Thumbnails by.... groups and the comprehensive exhibit All flowers by thumbnail, presents thumbnails of just the images defined by its label, with each such thumbnail linked to a 6 inch digitized image of the drawing or watercolor made of that flower and some comments about (a) the flower, (b) the way its image was rendered by the artist, or (c) both. For example, Only Irises, covers all (and only) the Iris images in Flowery, Watercolors just the images created primarily with watercolors. In the first group, that by flower type, separate exhibits were mounted only if a flower was represented by five or more images. The images of all other flowers appear in the All Others exhibit. To see flowers other than Day Lilies, Iries, and Tulips, therefore, access either All Others or All flowers by name. There are two cautions to note. First, though All flowers by thumbnail is an attractive comprehensive exhibit of the entire pool of flower images, downloading can take time. Second, since this site and all the images were created by an artist and not a flower expert, though All flowers by Name provides "some" direct indication about whether a given type of flower is represented in Flowery, its utility is limited: some flowers names are everyday labels, some are technical, and one or two may even be incorrect. Feedback through Comments is solicited.
