Yellow Iris, drawn in pencil and cut out

Above are two renderings of a yellow Iris, the pencil on yellow paper drawing done on13 June 1997, the cutout from yellow construction paper made a week later. They may have had the same Iris as subject, but there is no notation to that effect. The shape of each differs, ao while the difference may have been due to a different perspective, it could be from a difference in subject. I did also did a cutout of a purple Iris (see them together in Two Iris cutouts below). As the appearance of the two images suggests In that case, both cutout and non-cutout represented the same Iris (insets, left and right). They also bore the same date.
