Robert P. Taylor's Flowery: a webbery of flower images 

Above are miniatures of the eight digitized images of tulips in Flowery. The first four images were created between 16 and 20 February, the next three between 19 and 21 April, and the last on 7 May. February is a bit early for tulip flowering but 1997 was a warm spring. The media used varied, but all used one or some combination of the following: water color, colored pencils, ink wash, and gouache. More details, including those about medium used, are provided in the respective detail page linked to each image above. Every such page includes a pair of six-inch images representing two of the images thumbnailed above, as well as details just mentioned. Though several of the originals were more than 10 inches high, none of the digitized images presented in this site is more than 6, to accomodate prevailing screen size and formatting limits.
