The Defense Attorney
These two drawings and a partial face were those I managed to do of the defense attorney. The complete one on the left was done during our first day on the trial
and its counterpart on the right, during our last. The sketch of part of his face was done the first day, too, to get a feeling for his face. Of course I also did a quick sketch of him up front, when the judge had the attorneys all "approach the bench" (inset right). As noted elsewhere in the site, he had a very problematic case to defend, given what had happened and the documented problems with the relationship between the defendent and victim. He resorted to what he could, given those limits, suggesting the witnesses were all biased toward the city and its DA because they were all city employees, and so on....
