Reflect: A Webbery of Self Portraits
Facial fragment - Mirrored Left Eye and Nose
Pencil Drawing

This drawing was generated as the first in a series to send to my two-and-half year old grandson to see if he could identify the subject. While visiting me one day, I had made some drawings with him and he seemed to enjoy the process, so I thought this might be fun for him. When I got around to sending it, I heard by telephone that he did identify it correctly.
I got very enthusiastic and did another (inset top) and sent it to him. However, when he received that one, his mother called me immediately to report failure - he insisted it was "an Owl" she said, and nothing would disuade him of his certainty. Well, I gave up for a while, then did a couple more (insets bottom), though I haven't sent them to him yet.....
The first partial face drawing I did (inset bottom) was just for my own exercise, so maybe I should stop trying to make indentification puzzles out of them.
