This drawing was generated as one in a series to send to my two-and-half year old grandson to see if he could recognize me. While visiting me one day, I had made some drawings with him and he seemed to enjoy the process, so I thought this might be fun for him. When I got around to sending one of them (inset top left), I heard by phone that he did identify it correctly. I became enthusiastic and drew and sent another (inset top right) to him.It didn't work. His mother called immediately to report he insisted it was not Grandpa but "an Owl". She said nothing would disuade him of the idea. Well, I gave up for a while. Finally, I decided to try again and drew this one and another(inset bottom). He may not know this one is me, but he sure won't think it's an owl!
