Reflect: A Webbery of Self Portraits
Representational Rear View
Ball Pen Drawing

This drawing was done at 9 pm in ball pen on white sketch pad paper. It was a continuation of the project to draw some rear views to see why that view also identifies the subject person. The first attempt of a self-portrait rear view was okay, though the ears were not very accurate (inset top). This 10 cm high head (collar edge to top of head) is a little better. The shape of the ears, the neck, and skull under the hair, and the pattern in which the hair grows are each unique and together form an image pattern that identifies the subject. Can these be exaggerated to more sharply highlight what is unique about a subject? Can this be done while making the image more abstract? The contour lines or distortions in some of the other views (insets bottom) are worth applying to the back to find out. I just need two mirrors.
