Formacion de Professores

Santiago, Chile -- 10-12 March 1997
This website uses on-the-spot sketches to create a complement to other records of the international seminar held in Santiago in 1997, a seminar to explore how best to improve the training of Chilean teachers during the next decade. Participants came primarily from the major teacher training institutions in Chile and included expert speakers from relevant parts of the educational enterprise in Chile, and abroad - including elsewhere in Latin America, Canada, the U.S., and Europe. This site and its sketches were created by the U.S. speaker, Robert P. Taylor of Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York City. A few of the sketches and comments were computerized in Santiago during the seminario and presented as part of his presentation, the last day.
