Above are composite thumbnails, each linked to a different "room" of the random order galleries. Collectively, they include all the 300 or so images in this site, though each image appears in one, and only one, random gallery. Though each such gallery is an exhibit, the individual images within it bear no necessary relationship to each other, as they do in the individual galleries of the Art Characteristics Galleries and Thematic Galleries below. In fact, the random galleries here are more like storage rooms for a new museum, just under construction. As the museum committee and staff acquire works, while waiting for the new museum to be finished, the acquired works are put in storage rooms where suitable space is available, without regard to the artistic characerisitics, to await eventual exhibition in the new museum. The Random Galleries here served a similar function. They are just the "space" where one image of each new work was installed as that work was digitized for inclusion in Webbery, with the decision left for later as to what like images it might eventually be exhibited with. Because a website can exhibit the same work in as many places as one wishes, when the images were later "installed" in one or more proper thematic exhibits, their display in the original random collection was preserved, just to have a singular comprehensive display available.
