The drawings were made during the 31 October 1999 performance at Riverside Church, of the songs of Barber, sung by Diana Solomon-Glover (see Songs of Barber below). Since the choir did not sing during this part of the concert, I was free to sit out front and draw. I chose these two players. I did them both but actually filled in some of the detail later on the computer: suggested the stone wall background, shaded things to suggest depth, and so on.
