Robert P. Taylor's Musicians:
Reflections of Music Making

Robert Convery
Rehearsing
Dvorak Requiem Mass

This was drawn, at a rehearsal of the Riverside Choir as we prepared for a performance of Dvorak's Requiem Mass. We had stopped singing while the conductor discussed something with the sopranos, and I idly sketched Bob, on the corner of the score at the beginning of the Agnus Dei. He was seated a few chairs away and I have no idea what he was thinking about - I just drew him, as, in similar idle moments, I have drawn many other musicians (upper insets). The sort of double meaning implicit in drawing musicians on the music is like the extra meaning implicit in my drawing of Bob studying a painting of an accordian player (lower inset)
