Dale Zurbrick in Paradisium (on Faure Requiem score)...

This drawing of Dale in Faure's Requiem contrasts strongly with the previous week's "Maestoso" drawing on Kodaly's Missa Brevis (see All Dale link below). Nevertheless, it, too, is fitting. Dale's pencil is ready over the ear for any required annotation to his score, he is facing front, and is ready to get on with singing, as always. The idea for this drawing struck me as very fitting, too, the instant I conceived of it. It's ironic, just like Dale. His scepticism would probably dampen his expectation of any paradise being realized, but his participation in making music is a sort of paradise......
