The two drawings above of Helen on the title page of the Faure Requiem score were done on November 2, 1997 during one of the Riverside Choir's rehearsals of that piece. Since Helen, like Tim, is often in front of the choir while we preform or rehearse, she is a frequent subjects for my sketches. Sometimes the sketch is done very rapidly, like those above or the tempo-induced, scratchy "Let Him deliver him" (inset left) done on the Messiah score a few years later. At other times, the drawing is done more carefully, like the drawing of her playing the organ (inset right) All Helen below, presents the the entire range.
