Robert P. Taylor's Musicians: Reflections of Music Making

Karen McVoy, Soprano, two Sundays, two styles, one singer

Here are two of the drawings I've done of Karen singing. She's sung numerous times since joining the choir but not always in a position where I could see her. These reflect two occasions where she was close and visible. The one drawn on a fragment of the program (left) was done during the 11 June 2000 Sunday service, as she sang the familiar, "He's got the whole world in his hands". The other (right) was drawn during a 1999 Christmas season service, as she sang the seasonal "What Child is this?". I have also drawn Karen's husband, as, on a more recent occasion (June 2001), he accompanied her on the soprano saxaphone as she sang the soprano favorite, "Bright seraphim" from George Frederick Handel's Sampson.
