Three choir members between anthems
This simple ink drawing was during the 9 March 1998 morning service, as Martha Jacobs, Catherine Tyrrell and Barbara Posvar waited between anthems. Since Martha (left) and Barbara (right) are altos and Catherine (center) is a soprano, the choir must have been seated in "mixed" pattern, distributing voice parts across the choir space, rather than grouping them into the more usual voice sections (all sopranos seated contiguously in one bank of seats, all altos in another, and so on. Mixed seating is ordered by the conductor because of the nature of a aparticular piece being sung, but I falied to note any anthem titles or other reasons for the seating here....
