Mi Jung was playing a recital program in Steinway Hall in New York City when I made this ink drawing one evening in 1997. It is a nice, though small space for a recital, with Steinway's display and testing rooms for their piano customers scattered about behind and above this recital space, as suggested by the half-closed curtains in the background of the drawing. I have rehearsed with, and sung accompanied by, MiJung and have heard her play in other circumstances like recitals many times, in many spaces (first inset, for example), and as the drawing suggests she always concentrates intently.
