Robert P. Taylor's Musicians: Reflections of Performance
Organists
Here are some of the organists I have had time to sketch. Their styles are as varied as their appearances would suggest. Most of those depicted, even the one from Prague (tumbnail with brownish tint), probably know, or have heard of, one or more of the others, because, even globally, the organists community is a relatively small one. Several of these oganists I have drawn three or more times, playing the organ, playing the piano, conducting, or doing something else musical (like waiting to play). To keep this page from getting confusingly crowded, each such multiply drawn organist is represented above by a single thumbnail only, a thumbnail which in turn links to the page of all the thumbnail links for drawings in this site of that particular musician. For example, the last thumbnail depicts Timothy Smith, Riverside Church's and Columbia University's organist. Clicking on Tim's thumbnail above will access a page of Tim Smith thumbnails, each of which links to a different image of Tim in the site.
