Call for PapersTCCRISLS brings together experts from around the world to examine and discuss theory, research and practice in the area of second language (L2) studies. The topic of TCCRISLS 2014 is Learning-Oriented Assessment (LOA) and its application in L2 classroom and assessment contexts. LOA is an approach to assessment that prioritizes the centrality of L2 processing and the promotion of L2 learning outcomes in a variety of learning and assessment contexts.
TCCRISLS 2014 will host a number of invited speakers from around the world to present on theoretical and applied aspects of assessment and learning. However, abstracts are also solicited for presentations of completed empirical research on topics related to learning and assessment. These presentations will be allotted 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes for questions from the audience. Periodically, throughout the conference, roundtable discussions will be organized.

Abstracts should include:
- a title
- a rationale for the study
- a study purpose
- sufficient details of the methodology
- key findings
- implications for LOA
- must be 500 words or less
- relevance to the theme of LOA
- originality of the study
- quality of the study design
- overall clarity
