TR@TC Application InstructionsBefore you begin the application process, first decide on one Teachers College academic program you are applying to:
- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages K-12 (TESOL)
- Secondary Inclusive Education, Teaching Students with Disabilities 7-12 (SIE)
- Science Education -- Biology 7-12 (SCIB)
A completed application for admission includes the following items:
A Completed Teachers College Online Application: Follow the Teachers College application instructions from the Office of Admissions. On your application form, select the following as prompted, based on your academic program interest:
- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
- Secondary Inclusive Education, Teacher Students with Disabilities (SIE)
- Science Education -- Biology (SCIB)
Application Fee: Each application for admission must be accompanied by a non-refundable $65 application fee. (If you are selected for TR@TC2, the application fee will be credited to your student account.)
Transcripts: Official transcripts must be sent directly from the registrar of each college or university attended to the Office of Admissions. Submit separate transcripts for each college, even if the credits shown are also listed as transfer credits on a later transcript.
Letters of Recommendation: Applicants should arrange for two letters of recommendation that will be directly uploaded to your application profile by the recommender as part of the application process.
Two TR@TC Supplemental Essays: Two supplemental essays are part of the TR@TC2 application and will be included as part of your application.
TR@TC2 Supplemental Interview: After the TC application and TR@TC2 supplementary materials have been reviewed, selected applicants will be contacted regarding individual and/or group interviews.
