Food Day 2017

This year in celebration of International Food Day, Teachers College Program in Nutrition Dietetic Interns decided to highlight the issue of food waste (and have fun in the process) with their Waste not, Wine not event.

On October 25, interns offered tastings of dishes and drinks that showcased amazing ways to decrease food waste. Attendees also learned how to compost. One of the vendors, Toast Ale, offered tastings of its beer made from bread that would otherwise have gone to landfill. The event drew between 550 and 600 attendees.
