Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior 2017 Conference Sessions Presented by TFC Faculty, Staff, and Alumni

The 50th annual SNEB Conference will be held July 20-24th in Washington, D.C.

Assistant Executive Director Claire Uno and former Tisch Scholar Ali Hard will be leading a pre-conference workshop on advocacy for nutrition educators. Attendees will gain skills and confidence to address current policy issues. Since the conference in D.C., this will be a unique opportunity for attendees to take their messages directly to their respective representatives on the Hill for real life application of the workshop.

Tisch Food Center executive director Pam Koch, alumni Marissa Burgermaster, and colleagues are presenting a session on how professional development for teachers can build motivation, confidence, and skills to teach behaviorally focused nutrition education. This builds on the Teachers College's Program in Nutrition extensive experience with teachers, as shown in this recent study.
