Dr. Michelle Troche and Dr. Alex Brandimore, along with UF UAD faculty member, Dr. Karen Hegland presented their research at the Annual Meeting of the International Society for the Advancement of Respiratory Psychophysiology (ISARP) meeting in Seville, Spain. The purpose of the conference was “to promote and advance knowledge of the interrelationships between psychological and physiological aspects of respiration in research and application” (ISARP.org). Alongside researchers in psychology, psychiatry, neurology, and anesthesiology, Dr. Michelle Troche presented research entitled: Urge-to-cough as a clinical predictor of dysphagia in Parkinson's disease. Additionally, Dr. Alex Brandimore presented research entitled: The influence of age on perception of the urge-to-cough in healthy older adults. Dr. Michelle Troche will serve as ISARP Secretary/Treasurer through year 2017.
