August 2018 TC Alumni Newsletter

Message from Alumni Relations

It has been a busy summer on Teachers College Way and our beloved campus has played host to groups of learners from all walks of life. Among many events, trustee and alumna Joyce B. Cowin (front row, center) hosted the latest cohort of the Cowin Financial Literacy Summer Institute for Educators at TC. The next online session of the Institute will take place October 1 - November 15.

As we are enjoying our last few weeks of warm weather, we are also dreaming of fall. We can’t wait to help welcome a new class of students to the College and, especially, to kick off a new year of alumni programming. Follow our newsletters, event digests and social media accounts for information on upcoming events, including opportunities to meet President Thomas Bailey.

Please also mark your calendars for October 9, the deadline to submit nominations for our 2019 Distinguished Alumni and Early Career Awards. Each year, the Alumni Council honors alumni who have distinguished themselves in their fields; have earned a high degree of respect among their colleagues and in the general community; and whose impact has been felt on a regional, national and/or international level. Winners will be announced in January and celebrated at our signature homecoming, Academic Festival, in April. Help us celebrate the breadth and depth of TC’s alumni community by nominating a deserving alumnus/a. The 2019 nomination form will be live on our awards page on August 15.
