5 Reasons to Start Your Application

  1. Timing is everything. The sooner you apply, the sooner you'll get a decision. It's as simple as that.
  2. Space is limited. Our programs are extremely competive and, in many cases, stop accepting applications well before the final deadline due to space—or lack thereof.
  3. Get yourself connected. One of the best things about the TC experience is the lasting relationships you'll establish with the faculty and your fellow students. Students who apply earlier frequently expand their networks through special webinars, open houses and receptions held across the country for admitted TC students, and via social media using only the most flattering of filters.
  4. Dollars and (common) sense. Can we interest you in scholarship funding? Thought so. You need to submit your application and supporting materials to even be considered.
  5. Good move.  Teachers College students attend from all 50 states and several countries around the world—which you guessed it—means they had to relocate to New York City. Start your application so you can figure out if you're meant to call SOHO, Chelsea, or Morningside Heights home.
