Meet our Assistant Director of Admission Operations, Anastasiya Glubokovskikh! Anastasiya comes to us from Kaliningrad, Russia, after working in education for over 20 years across three different countries. Read on to learn more about Anastasiya, including her favorite things to do in NYC and what brought her to TC!

Where are you from?

I am originally from Kaliningrad, a small island in Russia in the heart of Europe. Later, I lived in Poland, Idaho, and Maryland. Finally, I call NYC my home!

What brought you to TC?

I was raised in a family of two teachers, and I have been working in education for over 20 years and have worked in three countries. TC is one of the top schools in the world, and it is a real pride and honor for me to be a part of it and to streamline the application processes for future teachers and educators!

What is your position in the Admissions Office? What kind of projects do you work on?

I am the Assistant Director of Admission Operations. I work on multiple projects in the Operations department, from multiple audits to processing materials.

What is your favorite spot to hang out on campus or in Morningside Heights?

I love the atmosphere on the Upper West Side and Morningside Heights. Somehow, it reminds me of my motherland, Europe. Just strolling in the streets is my favorite!

What is your favorite food in NYC?

What I love about New York is that there are foods from all over the world here! Brazilian, Italian, Russian, American — it all depends on my mood!

If someone had only one day to spend in NYC, what would you tell them you must do?

Visit Columbia University’s campus!

What is your favorite activity to do outside of work?

I love going to trivia and quiz games with friends.

What is your favorite thing about living in NYC?

My favorite thing about living in NYC is getting inspiration from everything!
