New York City museums are like time-traveling oases. Each hub holds abundant opportunities to make everlasting memories. You can find unique artistry infused with awe-inspiring beauty in over 170 locations. All the boroughs offer enlivening exhibitions that illuminate a diverse range of storytelling. Features span from remarkable up-and-coming talents to world-renowned creatives. Please enjoy my dynamic doodles and bits from my favorite moments.

Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum exists as an audacious, thought-provoking container of innovation. A current exhibit features bold blown-up perspectives displaying questions, emails, and tweets among daring conversation starters around the spiral of the museum. These galleries also include free audio guides and QR codes to explain their complex works. Tickets to the Guggenheim are $19 with your TC ID.

The Brooklyn Museum is famous for its free First Saturday programming, which has been capturing a vibrant ambiance of community engagement for 25 years now. The event runs from February-June, August, and October, from 5:00-11:00 pm through advanced registration. Live performances, local pop-ups and extensive Egyptian art collections are some of the many things available for your enjoyment.  

New York Botanical Garden, also known as the iconic living museum, resides in the Bronx. This elegant and expansive landscape contains gardens, greenhouses, eateries, and hiking trails. Their whimsical Wonderland: Curious Nature theme is sprinkled all throughout the grounds until October 27, 2024, and is priced at $31 for student entry.  

Museum of the Moving Image is located in Queens within the esteemed Kaufman Astoria Studios. The multimedia collections aim to welcome insights into the cultural impact of entertainment and technology across generations. No reservation is required for free general admissions on Thursday.

Staten Island Children’s Museum is an imaginative experience designed intentionally for little humans to engage in interactive indoor and outdoor play. Activities include super-sized dominos, bowling, and chess. All tickets are $8 except for children under one year of age; then, admission is free.
