This week, we’re meeting another member of the admission team! Rachael Dugo joins us from Tampa, Florida, and works on an array of projects in the Office of Admission. Read on to learn more about Rachael’s favorite food in NYC, why she came to TC, and more!
Where are you from?
I’m originally from New Jersey.
What brought you to TC?
Moving from Tampa, Florida, to the NYC area, I was first attracted to TC because of its reputable programs, faculty, and staff. Moreover, I previously worked as an associate director for undergraduate admission and was also looking to make the transition to graduate school. After finally meeting our admission team, I just knew I was home! TC truly checked all my boxes.
What is your position in the Office of Admission? What projects do you work on?
My role at TC is really the perfect mix of all my interests: operations, planning, communication, recruitment, and leadership. It makes every day look a little different, which keeps things exciting!
What is your favorite place to hang out at TC or in the Morningside Heights area?
I love Morningside Park! It’s the perfect place to take a walk or eat lunch.
What is your favorite food in NYC?
This is a tough one because I am still new to NYC, but as of now, my favorite is the prosciutto and burrata sandwich from Milano Market, which is right near campus.
If someone only had one day to spend in the city, what would you tell them they need to do?
In the spring/summer, visit the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. In the winter, go see the Radio City Rockettes.
What is your favorite activity to do outside of work?
Read a great book on the beach or take a F45 workout class!
