Where are you from?
I’m originally from Westbury, NY.
What brought you to TC?
I began my journey as a student in the Department of Counseling & Clinical Psychology with the goal of becoming a guidance counselor. Shortly after I started my program, I became a student worker at the Office of Admission and ultimately found my passion in admission counseling. It’s now been 20 years! I’ve grown and developed in many ways and made lifelong friendships at TC!
What is your position in the Admission Office? What kinds of projects do you work on?
I am the Director of Recruitment and oversee all aspects of recruitment for the Admission team — on-campus, off-campus, and virtual. This includes campus visits, tours, information sessions, graduate fairs, and open houses. My role focuses on forward-facing initiatives from customer service to the Welcome Center to the overall campus experience.
What is your favorite spot to hang out on campus or in the Morningside Heights area?
I enjoy grabbing lunch on a sunny day and eating on a bench in Riverside Park overlooking the Hudson River.
What is your favorite food in NYC?
Cookies at Levain Bakery! They are crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and super delicious!
If someone only had one day to spend in the city, what would you tell them they must do?
See a Broadway show! There’s nothing like live theater — getting to experience singing, dancing, and acting up close is a must-do in New York City!
What is your favorite activity to do outside of work?
I’m a huge fan of tennis. I played in middle school, high school, and college, and then stopped for several years. I recently picked it up again and look forward to my weekly tennis session. In addition to playing, I love watching and have gone to the US Open every year for the past two decades!
