    • Master of Education
    • Doctor of Education
    • Doctor of Philosophy

    • Doctor of Philosophy

Additional Requirements

  • A background in philosophy is required for Master of Education, Doctor of Education and Doctor of Philosophy applications.
  • Additionally, an undergraduate major in philosophy is strongly recommended for the Doctor of Philosophy application.
  • We recommend strongly that applicants gain practical teaching experience in schools before they apply for the Doctor of Philosophy; for example, a full two years as a primary or secondary school teacher. Colleges and departments of education are more and more insisting that potential members of their faculty have this practical experience.
