For more than 126 years, Teachers College has not only met the challenges of the times, but anticipated new directions in education, health and psychology.

With TC’s historic $300 million campaign—Where the Future Comes First, The Campaign for Teachers College—we are strengthening our capacity to create and lead the next chapter in those transformations.

This campaign is anchored by continuing engagement by the TC community, including passionately committed donors who are every bit as innovative as the work they support. We launched the campaign after taking stock of TC’s strengths and the opportunities to apply them to the world’s greatest challenges. Ultimately, we understood that the Campaign would help ensure that the College continues to be the place where visionary thinkers work together to develop new fields of inquiry and practice that improve the physical and psychological health of our communities, our nation and the world, carrying forward the legacy for the 21stcentury. Read about the promising new directions the campaign has achieved so far.

We have been very encouraged by the enthusiastic response to the Campaign. As the resounding success of Academic Festival and Global TC Day showed, alumni throughout the world have been happily reconnecting and engaging with TC as never before. And thanks to the generosity of our devoted alumni and friends, we have soared past the $200 million mark less than two years after launching the campaign at our 125th Anniversary Gala, already establishing Where the Future Comes First as the largest campaign ever by a graduate school of education.

Our horizons for making extraordinary contributions to the world are limitless, but there is so much more for us to do in this critical phase of the Campaign.  For Teachers College to fully realize its potential, we need your support more than ever. In particular, we urge you to support our students—our Campaign’s number one funding priority. These exceptional women and men are indispensable to the scholarly work of our eminent faculty. And they are determined to use their TC education to create a smarter, healthier and more equitable world. By helping us remove the heavy student loan debt that weighs on so many of them, you are ensuring that these great future leaders will be able to serve where the need for their talents is greatest.

We hope you will explore this website and visit it repeatedly to keep up to date on the changing mix of people and programs that make TC the place where the future truly does come first. Anything is possible when you know where you’re headed, and we’ve got a great roadmap.  Won’t  you join us?
