Online Ed.D. in Executive Leadership
- Entry Term: Spring 2026 (January)
- Number of Credits: 75, with the ability to transfer up to 30 eligible Master’s credits (min. 3 years)
- Degrees Available: Ed.D.
- Deadline to Apply: November 15, 2025
- Funding: All students in the Ed.D. Executive Leadership program are automatically awarded the Vanguard Scholarship, distributed through the first 2 years of the program and designed to defray 20% of tuition. They are also eligible for additional Financial Aid.
- Requirements: 10+ years of professional experience and prior Master’s degree.
- On-Campus Requirement: Four 2-4 day immersives are held on campus throughout the program to build connection with your cohort and to engage in real-time, place-based learning experiences.

This program combines online learning with short on-campus immersives, offering both flexibility and cohort-building. With a combination of synchronous, asynchronous, and flipped-classroom style courses, students learn in the way that works best for them all while maintaining a close cohort and network.
An interdisciplinary doctoral program in leadership
Draw upon a variety of disciplines to become a more effective leader. The Doctoral program in Executive Leadership is a collaboration between three programs at Teachers College: Education Leadership at the Klingenstein Center, Adult Learning and Leadership, and Social-Organizational Psychology. This interdisciplinary, cross-industry approach deepens your learning and decision-making in education and other fields.
