5th Annual Oratorical & Spoken Word event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
Wednesday, February 24 | 1:00 p.m. EST

The Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Community Affairs, the Office of Graduate Student Life & Development, and the Office of Residential Services invite the TC community to watch the 5th Annual Oratorical & Spoken Word event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The event will be made public in a pre-recorded format. The theme of the event this year focuses around a line from Dr. King's speech at Oberlin College in 1964 in which he noted “the time is always right, to do what is right” highlighting Dr. King’s vision for justice and civil rights for all people, and calling on student to engage with nonviolent efforts for racial equality.

Teacher College students were invited to submit written speeches relating to this theme, and three winners will be featured during this virtual program.
