Theme: “Keeping the Dream Alive”

Student Development & Activities and the Office of Residential Services would like to invite TC community members to attend our first ever speech competition honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The contest, will take place Monday, February 27​th​, 2017 at 7:00 p.m​. in the Milbank Chapel.  Speeches will focus on our theme for the event “Keeping the Dream Alive” ​and will incorporate what we can do to contribute to Dr. King’s vision for justice and civil rights for ALL people. Speeches may relate to his achievements and philosophy of nonviolent opposition to social injustice, as well as other related issues, such as religion, class, gender, age, sexual orientation and ability. 
 
Our finalists are:   Blake Gregory,  Swati Makhija, Alton McCall, Martha St-Jean, and Dosse-Via Trenou
