Math for Understanding and Access: Designing Performance Tasks for Diverse Learners (K-6)

In this workshop, elementary educators will explore the features of conceptually rich mathematical performance tasks and work on designing a common-core aligned performance task for their own classroom. In the process, participants will explore different types of mathematical proficiency, try out examples of "group worthy" performance tasks, and identify task features that can increase access and engagement in classrooms with a diversity of learning needs.
