Queer Disruptions: A Conference on Gender and Sexuality

Location:
Faculty Room in Low Library
Open to:

Queer Disruptions gathers esteemed scholars, activists, and artists from the U.S. and abroad to explore the ways that queer studies, politics, and practices theorize, transform, and reimagine scholarship and generate new social possibilities.

The two-day conference will feature an opening keynote panel on how art represents and disrupts queerness on Thurday, October 13, 2016 from 4:30-6pm at the Italian Academy with Mariette Pathy Allen, Darren Dean, and Zanele Muholi, and moderated by Juana María Rodríguez.

On Friday, October 14, 2016 from 9:30am-5:30pm in the Faculty Room in Low Library, there will be discussions of representation, disability, marriage, and vulnerability and resilience, at the intersection of critical feminist and gender studies.
