Biographical Information

Christian Gregory is a Lecturer in department of English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University where he is currently a Ph.D. candidate. He holds two degrees in literature from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College and is currently a literacy coach with the Institute of Student Achievement (ISA). The recipient two fellowships from the NEH, he was a semi-finalist for the Bechtal Award and received the national JSTOR Lesson Plan award. He has presented academic papers on pedagogy and classroom discourse in China, England, Ireland, and Poland, as well as at several conferences of the Modern Language Association. He has over 12 years of high school teaching experience and has most recently taught courses in composition and literature at Mercy College and narrative theory and the short story at TC.
