Dr. Catherine Chase featured in the National Science Foundation's recent report on the future of educational technology

Dr. Catherine Chase was a co-author for the Cyberlearning Community Report. The report showcases some of the innovative projects on technology-based learning that were funded by NSF's Cyberlearning grant program. Dr. Chase's work in developing the Invention Coach software is featured in the "Virtual Peers and Coaches: Social and Cognitive Support for Learning" section of the report. The Invention Coach is an interactive learning environment that supports students in a form of ill-structured problem-solving -- inventing formulas for physical science equations. The Invention Coach has also been shown to help learners transfer their math/science knowledge to novel domains.
