Interim Appointments


Interim appointments are temporary positions hired to do various tasks, that are limited to no more than 19 hours/week. Interim employees are engaged on an as-needed basis; there is no guarantee of continued employment after the end of the appointment period.

 

 

Interim employees are paid hourly and must submit online timesheets. These employees are paid on the bi-weekly payroll schedule. The account used is 6254.

 

 

 

In order to hire a new interim employee, the hiring manager should follow the recruitment process for new hires and submit a requisition through PageUp. If the you would like to reappoint a current interim employee, a reappointment ePAF should be submitted.

  • Click Update.
  • Correct errors or enter changes.
  • Click Save, then click Submit

To find out when someone will be paid, please reference the payroll schedule. Using the date approved by Budget/Grants and referencing the deadline date in the Payroll Deadline for Departments column of the payroll schedule, you can determine the pay date. The payroll schedule is located on the myTC portal. Please click the Employee Resources tab and navigate to the Payroll and Human Resources section. Go to Guides and Documentation and click the drop down menu, then click the 2020 Payroll Schedule link.
