New York State has an emotional support hotline to assist New Yorkers who feel anxious or stressed during this pandemic.
The Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential support, helping callers experiencing increased anxiety due to the coronavirus emergency. The Help Line is staffed by volunteers, including mental health professionals, who have received training in crisis counseling.

Aetna has notified us that through CVS Health, certain benefits are being extended to members in response to the COVID-19 crisis, as indicated below.
Aetna will waive co-pays for all diagnostic testing related to COVID-19. This policy will cover the test kit for patients meeting CDC guidelines for testing, which can be done in any approved laboratory location.
As per regulations, Aetna will reimburse up to 8 Over-the-Counter (OTC) tests per member per 30 days (if kits contain 2 tests, then no more than 4 kits per 30 days). Plans are only required to cover tests intended for diagnosis or treatment (versus routine screenings for employment, school, or recreational purposes).
What members can expect
Members should save their receipts and submit them for reimbursement by visiting Aetna’s secure member website and following the instructions provided therein.
Reimbursement for tests purchased is available through the COVID-19 public health emergency period, which was recently extended to April 16, 2022.

Get Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests
Every household in the US is eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests. Orders can be placed at COVIDTEST.gov. These government provided tests do not count towards the minimum benefit of eight tests per member per 30 days covered by medical insurance plans.
EmblemHealth has announced that testing for Coronavirus will be covered by the medical plan when an in-network provider is seen. Out-of-network visits may NOT be covered. EmblemHealth has provided FAQs on their web page. Please click here to access the FAQs.
As of January 15, 2022, EmblemHealth will cover eight diagnostic only COVID-19 at-home, rapid tests per member per month with no out-of-pocket costs, as long as the test is not for employment or other non-covered purposes, such as for return to work. Members will be reimbursed after they purchase at-home rapid tests at pharmacies, retailers, or on-line. Members will need to complete the attached claim form with the approved test name and NDC code, as noted below. It is extremely important the member includes the correct NDC code for timely claim processing. Brights Horizons Back-up Care provides backup child and adult care for your family members when regular arrangements are unavailable, whether you’re planning ahead or something unexpected arises. Full-time benefits-eligible employees may use up to 120 hours per employee per year (September 1 through August 31) of all back-up care services combined.
