The iDesign Lab provides technological support and solutions to the problems CMLTD students encounter in their pursuit of utilizing information and communication technologies in education. It serves students through various technology workshops, open collaboration space, and on-site support equipped with up-to-date technologies.
The workshop will give you an authentic design experience, including a visit to the site, needs assessment and pitching to the client, feedback from subject matter experts. Selected design may turn into an actual product.
In this workshop, you will redesign an existing VR project for social-emotional learning. The workshop beings with an introduction to the problem space, existing strategies, and competing projects. You will then redesign the existing project to better achieve the learning goals, present your work, and receive feedback.
Celebrate together with Thanksgiving appetizers and drinks as teams from the Instructional Design Jam workshop showcase their final designs. These works support CMLTD students' professional development.
In this workshop series, you will collaboratively design an online course to support CMLTD students' professional development (e.g., job search, resume building, interviewing). Support is provided as we build off the needs assessment conducted last semester. Upcoming phases include understanding needs, ideation, prototyping, testing, and development.
October 10th, 17th, and 24th, Mondays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
