Office of International Affairs

The Office of International Services (OIS) supports international students and foreign nationals employed at the College.  OIS also assists visiting scholars with TC visa sponsorship. Please direct all visa-related questions to the Office of International Services at tcintl@tc.columbia.edu or 1-212-678-3939.

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) directs the Visiting Scholars Program and coordinates a range of international activities, including institutional partnerships.

Please send an email to internationalaffairs@tc.edu, detailing how you wish to collaborate with Teachers College. We will determine whether the request is feasible, and if so, help you identify next steps.

If you are a graduate student and wish to take a course at Teachers College, please visit the Office of Admissions website for more information.  If you are a doctoral student at an accredited institution, and you have been invited to Teachers College to work with a current faculty member, please follow this link to review our Visiting Doctoral Student policy.  Please note that graduate students are not eligible for Visiting Scholars status at Teachers College.

OIA can help with the logistics of College-related international travel for TC faculty and administrators. If this applies to you, please follow this link to the OIA Travel Handbook.

Please contact the Office of Risk Management at kaplan@tc.edu or 1-212-678-3482 if you need assistance with an insurance claim or other insurance-related issues arising from your travel abroad while working.

OIA does not provide funding for international projects; however, a list of organizations that do provide funding for various international initiatives can be found here
