Call for Abstracts for Poster Session at TC's 3rd Conference on Anthropology and Education
Call for Abstracts: Anthropology & Education Fall Conference 2018 New Scholars Invited Poster Session
Deadline: July 15, 2018
The Program in Anthropology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University invites outstanding graduate student research in anthropology and education by hosting the first annual New Scholars Invited Poster Session at the 3rd Conference on Anthropology and Education: The Work of Education on October 26 & 27, 2018.
We are particularly looking for posters that address this year’s theme on the work of education, grounded in the kind of ethnographic research in diverse settings that opens the way to broad generalizations about the human condition when people face what they never quite experienced before, or when they discover the unexpected consequences of earlier work.
To be considered for this poster session, you should submit an email with the subject line “Fall Conference poster session 2018 [your last name].”
In the body of the email, please include the following information:
1) Your name, institutional affiliation, graduate level and email;
2) The name and email address of a mentor or advisor who can tell us about your work;
3) A 250-word abstract that includes: the research question, the conceptual framework for the study, the methods, the findings, the significance of the project.
These materials should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by July 15, 2018.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are selected for the invited poster session, you will need to register for the conference. Please contact email@example.com with any questions.
