(9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.)
This symposium will be devoted to the teaching of the mathematically gifted. The new reference book edited by Professor Bruce R. Vogeli International Panorama of Special Secondary Schools for the Mathematically Talented (IPSSSMT) will be presented.
The keynote addresses at the Symposium will be delivered by world-renowned mathematicians and mathematics educators including Dr. Geoffrey Howson (UK), Dr. Igor Krichever (Columbia University) and Dr. Roza Leikin (Haifa). The panel discussion will feature Teachers College Professors Alexander Karp, Henry Pollak, Erica Walker, and Stuart Weinberg.
