Thank you for visiting our website!

If you are passionate about exercising leadership in an urban school district, come to New York City, where the challenges and opportunities of public education live together in sharp relief. At Teachers College, Columbia University you will join a long line of learners who have explored the most urgent and enduring issues of education for over 125 years, making us the oldest (and largest) graduate school of education in the world.

Study in NYC!

Teachers College is located in Morningside Heights where our multicultural, urban environment impacts almost everything we do and provides unique educational and social opportunities found nowhere else.

The Urban Education Leaders Program (UELP) offers Ed.D. students multiple ways of integrating theory and practice, working with a faculty composed of premier scholars and outstanding practitioners. Studying at TC means that you will engage with professionals like yourself—school principals, curriculum leaders, central office administrators and others with practical experience who are ready to deepen their understanding of leadership, excellence and social justice.

Find out more about UELP by reading through our website, and consider applying for admission to what U.S. News and World Report ranks as the #3 program for Education Administration in the United States in 2018. We invite your inquiries about our approach and look forward to welcoming you to our community.
