Ms. Cecily Wilson-Turner

UELP Student and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction for the City School District of Albany

Ms. Wilson-Turner, UELP student from 2013 cohort, became one of two Assistant Superintendents for Instruction for the City School District of Albany in August 2015. Ms. Wilson-Turner provides oversight and support to 11 elementary schools, the Early Childhood Education Department, and the department that focuses on the professional evaluation systems for teachers and administrators in the district. Ms. Wilson-Turner spent 17 years in the service of the district in multiple roles: as a teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal.

Ms. Wilson-Turner earned her Certificate of Advance Study in School District and Building Leadership from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, her Master of Arts in Teaching from New York University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Princeton University.
