Morning Schedule

8:00am - 11:30am

Check-in & Breakfast

Receive Orientation materials and enjoy a light breakfast with fellow new students in the atrium at Lerner Hall, Columbia University. The Welcome Program will begin promptly at 9:00am in the auditorium.

Title IX & Columbia Resources

Learn more about important policies and services that encourage and support a community ethic of care and sexual respect.

Teachers College Title IX Cooridinator, Janice S. Robinson, will introduce CU Gender-Based Misconduct Office and the Sexual Violence Response & Rape Crisis / Anti-Violence Support Center, who will provide information about the Columbia University/Teachers College gender-based misconduct policies, procedures, and resources for support.

Faculty Conversations

More than any other research institution of its kind, Teachers College has led the way in increasing understanding of how people of all ages learn in all disciplines, how to best teach them what they need to know, and how to transform our findings into actual cirricula in classrooms and other settings. During this segment, enjoy a "Casual Conversation" with esteemed TC Faculty.
