POLICY 201  

1.0   PURPOSE

To establish Teachers College policy and procedure in relation to applicant selection and equal opportunity.

2.0   SCOPE

This policy applies to all employees.

3.0   RESPONSIBILITY

The interpretation of this policy and administration of programs which support this policy shall be the responsibility of the Human Resources Officer. The interpretation and administration for monitoring the equal employment opportunity recruitment of professorial staff and instructional staff shall be the responsibility of the Provost.

4.0   POLICY

Teachers College has long been committed to equal employment in the recruitment and selection of candidates, and to providing equal employment opportunities to employees within our organization. This supports and promotes a community environment in which such rights can be fully exercised by all, regardless of race, color, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity or gender expression), religion, creed, national origin, age, citizenship, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.

Teachers College is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities, which include providing reasonable accommodations.
