Spring 2022 Travel Restrictions

Beginning June 1st, 2021, Teachers College will allow academic- and work-related domestic and international travel to resume. The College has established the following interim restrictions for domestic and international travel, in addition to the guidelines and requirements outlined in the International Travel Policy.

Faculty, staff, and students are required to follow local, state, and federal travel restrictions, and should consult with CDC guidance on travel. Visit the Updated New York State Travel Guidance website to learn more about how travel to and from New York will affect testing and quarantine requirements.

Faculty and Staff

For countries with U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Level 1 & 2, travel permitted with registration with the Office of Risk Management. 

For U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Level 3 & 4, registration with the Office of Risk Management and approval of the Department Chair and the Provost is required.  Please review section 6 of the international travel policy.

Urged to postpone unless returning to home country, or for personal or medical emergencies. Review the U.S. Department of State website for COVID-19-related risks and restrictions. Also keep in mind the quarantine requirements upon return from travel.

New York State guidance must be followed along with guidance of the destination state.

Follow New York State guidance upon return or arrival to campus.

Students

For countries with U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Level 1  2, 3 & 4 travel permitted with registration with the Office of Risk Management ans approval of the Department Chair and the Provost is required. Issues to be taken into account include the need for in-person presence, location of activities, type of activities, housing situation, etc.

For U.S. Department of State Travel Advisory Level 3 & 4, please review section 6 of the international travel policy.
