Workshops

In February of 2015, the Spirituality Mind Body Institute launched LEO, (Learning, Evolving, Opening) — the spiritual wellness center within Teachers College — offering innovative delivery models and spiritually integrated workshops to establish vibrant spiritual communities that nurture the individual to serve the whole. The mission of LEO is grounded in the science of spiritual life–promoting inner work for outer change. To bring this conversation into a larger arena, SMBI is hosting its second annual groundbreaking Spiritual Life Conference: Spiritual Activism in Daily Life–Personal and Professional Development.

This conference will showcase pioneering content and modalities of teaching and learning, and experiential workshops developed by graduate students and agents of change in the emerging field of universal spirituality. Through exploration and discovery these transformative workshops, breakout groups, lectures and conversations are designed to foster true spiritual awareness and self-exploration, within a rigorous academic context examining spirituality as a source of resilience in daily life, constructive solutions in educational change and a gateway to personal fulfillment.
