Get Ready to Vote with TC!

General Voting Information


There are several resources available for registering to vote as well as checking your registration. The easiest way to do both is to go to vote.org.

Be sure to read over your ballot and familiarize yourself with all that is on it. Make sure you have everything you need before heading to a polling place.

Voting absentee or by mail is dependent on the state you are registered in. Use allintovote.org/learn_articles/how-do-i-vote-by-mail/ to learn more about the rules of your state. The US Postal Service recommends that voters allot 14 days for their ballot to reach election officials.

Voting in New York State


This year, registered voters can vote by: 1) Absentee ballot 2) In-person early voting or 3) Voting in-person on the Presidential Primary April 2, 2024, the Federal, State, and Local Primary on June 25, 2024, and the General Election Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Learn more here.

To vote by mail, remember to request an absentee ballot at least 30 days prior to Election Day on April 2, June 25, and November 5, 2024. New York State voters may learn more here, while voters from other states may learn more here. The US Postal Service recommends that voters allot 14 days for their ballot to reach election officials. Additionally, some states will accept ballots at drop-off locations. Learn more about whether your ballot is eligible for drop-off here.

For the Presidential Primary Election, early voting is available March 25 through March 30, 2024

For Federal, State, and Local Primary Elections, early voting is available June 15 through June 23, 2024

For the General Election, early voting is available October 26 through November 3, 2024.
